OEKO-TEX® STeP and The BHive® join forces
GoBlu International Ltd. and OEKO-TEX® have the common objective of working towards more sustainability in the global textile and fashion industry by enabling full transparency over the use of chemical products. Because we believe that strategic industry partnerships are essential for achieving ambitious goals, GoBlu and OEKO-TEX® have joined forces to provide long-term support to factories and institutes in sustainable chemicals management.
About the Partnership
From April 2023 all OEKO-TEX® STeP (Sustainable Textile and Leather Production) customers with chemical products will be able to use GoBlu’s digital chemical management platform The BHive® within their STeP assessment. By digitizing the chemical management process, both factories and institutes will benefit from intelligent high-quality data and reductions in workload, time, and costs. Moreover, the integration ensures improved compliance with recognized industry standards such as the STeP MRSL and ZDHC MRSL using intelligent systems. Finally, SteP-customers of OEKO-TEX® – an official ZDHC Contributor – will have the option to generate their ZDHC Performance InCheck through The BHive, which has been approved as an InCheck solution provider.

About OEKO-TEX® STeP
OEKO-TEX® consists of independent textile and leather testing institutes working together to develop test methods and establish limit values. The certification of textiles is intended to protect the consumer. OEKO-TEX® STeP serves as a facility certification and provides an independent certification system for production sites along textile and leather supply chains to ensure environmentally friendly manufacturing processes and socially responsible working conditions.
For customers with chemical products, a chemical management module is part of the STeP assessment. In this regard, STeP provides targeted support to permanently implement environmentally friendly production processes.
About The BHive®
The BHive® is a smart, digital chemical management platform, developed both or factories and brands. It simplifies the otherwise time-consuming chemical management process by digitizing all steps – from chemical product entry to analysis, performance management and reporting to brand partners. Intelligent data enables factories to understand their own chemical product usage and compliance with various industry standards.
